How to place an ad with Just Keep Looking

Before you can place a free ad, you first need to register. To learn how to do this, click here.

1. If you've already signed up, then first you need to log in. To do so, click "My Account" in the top menu bar.

2. You'll now be on the log in page. Enter the username and password that you chose when you signed up, and click the "Login" button. If you want to skip past his step for later visits, tick the box that says "Auto login next time". If you've forgotten your password, just enter your username in the box at the bottom and click the "Submit" button underneath it. You'll then receive an email to your registered email address with your details inside.

3. After logging in, you should now be on your personal account page. From here, you can check your JKL mailbox, edit your profile, buy credits at a discount to be used to pay for advertising, check on payments made, and place or edit your ads.

4. Click on the "Place Ad" link, and on the following screen, choose an ad payment plan. If you only require two or less images with your ad, then click the * FREE AD * link.

5. You wil now be on the "Place Ad" page. The first thing to do is to choose a category from the drop down. Depending on which category you select, you may see a different set of fields to fill in. For this example, we'll assume you have an item for sale, so select "For Sale & Wanted > For Sale" from the drop down.

6. Next select a location. After choosing your top level location, you may see additional choices to refine your area. You can stop at any time, you don't have to keep selecting lower and lower locations levels.

7. Now enter your ad details, a Title, Description and Contact Name are required for most ads on the site, and in the case of "For Sale", you'll also see a "Sold" selection box for which you should select "No".

8. If you have a digital photo or two of the item for sale on your PC, you can click the "Browse" buttons which will pop up a "File Upload" selection box. Choose a photo for the first one, then enter a short Description of the photo. Then do the same for Image 2.

9. You can now select whether or not you want to upgrade your ad using one of the "Extra Options". Probably the most attractive is "Featuring" which will cause your ad to appear randomly on the home page, at the top of category listings, and in the side bars on most pages on the site. We accept most major credit and debit cards as well as cheques and postal orders. You can also buy credits in advance at a discount to reduce the cost of upgrading your ad or membership.

10. When you're happy with your ad, click the "Submit" button. You will then receive a confirmation message to tell you that your ad has been posted successfully. You can modify your ad at any time by clicking on "My Ads" on your personal account page, and then clicking the ad title.
